Rome, 25 October (LaPresse) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the Russian attacks that took place overnight, which also hit Kyiv and caused at least four deaths and numerous injuries, urgently calling for the strengthening of air defences with military support from allied countries. "It is precisely because of these attacks that we are paying particular attention to Patriot systems, in order to protect our cities from this horror. It is essential that partners with the appropriate capabilities implement what has been discussed in recent days,‘ he wrote in English on X. ’America, Europe and the G7 countries can help ensure that such attacks no longer threaten human lives," he said. Zelensky hopes that Ukraine will be able to purchase 25 Patriots from the United States to strengthen its air defences, particularly in cities.
