Moscow, Oct. 26 (LaPresse) — "The city of Kupiansk has been surrounded in the direction of the Western Military Group. Meanwhile, assault detachments of the 68th Motorized Rifle Division of the 6th Army, after carrying out a flanking maneuver, have captured the enemy crossings on the Oskol River south of the city," said General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov in a report sent to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is also the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, as reported by Tass. The Russian armed forces have also completed the encirclement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov areas, where 31 Ukrainian battalions are stationed.
