New York (USA), Oct. 31 (LaPresse) – In New York, two people have died in flooded basements following the heavy rains that hit the city. Authorities reported that on Thursday afternoon a team of divers recovered the body of a 39-year-old man in Brooklyn. In Manhattan, police said a 43-year-old man also died. Witnesses stated that the 43-year-old had lost consciousness in the boiler room of a basement. The cause of death is under investigation. The National Weather Service reported record rainfall in some areas, including Central Park and LaGuardia Airport.
