Rome, 1 November (LaPresse) – The Chinese Ministry of Commerce has announced that it will grant exemptions from the export ban to companies that meet certain requirements following the crisis involving semiconductor manufacturer Nexperia, whose Dutch subsidiary was acquired by the Dutch government at the end of September. The news was reported by the Chinese media outlet Global Times. ‘The Dutch government's improper interference in the internal affairs of a company has disrupted global industrial and supply chains,’ the ministry said. ‘As a large and responsible country, China takes full account of the security and stability of domestic and global supply chains’ and ‘we invite companies facing real difficulties to contact the Ministry of Commerce or local commercial authorities,’ it added.
