Rome, Nov. 2 (LaPresse) – The Trump administration has informed Congress that the War Powers Resolution of 1973 does not apply to raids targeting drug cartels, the Washington Post reports. The Office of Legal Counsel specifically told several lawmakers that the executive branch is not bound by the War Powers Resolution, which requires congressional approval for any military action lasting more than 60 days.
