Rome, Nov. 6 (LaPresse) – Representatives of the IDF and the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the family of Tanzanian citizen Joshua Mollel that his body was returned to Israel by Hamas last night, after forensic experts completed its identification. Mollel, 21, a worker at Kibbutz Nahal Oz, was killed by Hamas on the morning of October 7, 2023. His body was abducted and taken to Gaza. In the Strip, the bodies of six other killed hostages remain, including five Israelis and one foreign national: Meny Godard, Lieutenant Hadar Goldin, Sergeant Major Ran Gvili, Dror Or, Lior Rudaeff, and Sudthisak Rinthalak. The Hostages’ Families Forum paid tribute to Joshua Loitu Mollel, whose body was returned to Israel by Hamas last night. According to the forum, the 21-year-old’s family described him as a polite, kind, hardworking person with a big smile that never left his face. “The families of the hostages and the returned embrace Joshua Loitu Mollel’s family in this difficult moment, after the return of their beloved Joshua, so that he may rest in peace,” the forum said in a statement.
