Washington (USA), 15 Nov. (LaPresse/AP) – US President Donald Trump has pardoned a rioter from 6 January who remained in prison despite the pardon given to the Capitol attackers, due to a separate conviction for illegal possession of firearms. This is the latest example of Trump's willingness to use his authority to help supporters who tried to keep him in power despite his defeat in the 2020 election against President Joe Biden. Daniel Edwin Wilson was under investigation for his role in the riot when authorities found six guns and about 4,800 rounds of ammunition in his home. Due to previous convictions for serious crimes, it was illegal for him to possess firearms.
