Brussels, 20 Nov. (LaPresse) – " I believe that the Strait Bridge, when it is built, will be an important point for transport and therefore also for evacuation, to ensure security in the event of an attack from the south. There is also the southern front, the southern flank of NATO, so we need to look at everything from a 360-degree perspective‘ on security, and ’if we really want to pursue a serious policy to protect citizens, we must include everything that is essential to ensure the defence of every citizen". This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani at a press conference in Brussels, responding to a question about the possibility of including the bridge over the Strait among the infrastructure in the European military mobility plan. ‘I have a very broad view of security, because if we have a narrow view of security, we would be making a mistake. Infrastructure is essential to guarantee security’ and ‘part of healthcare is also essential to guarantee it,’ he noted.
