Turin, 21 Nov. (LaPresse) – ‘Currently, while work with the American delegation continues in Kiev, rumours are circulating about the content of the consultations. I would like to clarify that, during my visit to the United States, my task was technical: to organise the meetings and prepare the talks’. This was stated by the Secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council, Rustem Umerov, quoted by RBC Ukraine, regarding the American peace plan, adding that he had not issued any assessment or, much less, approved any point, as suggested by some US media outlets. Umerov added that this is not within his remit and does not correspond to the procedure. "We are carefully examining all our partners' proposals, expecting the same correct attitude towards the Ukrainian position. Media reports about alleged “agreements” or “removal of points” have nothing to do with reality. These are examples of unverified information that has emerged outside the context of consultations," Umerov stressed. The secretary also said that Kyiv is carefully examining its partners' proposals, while maintaining its fundamental principles: sovereignty, security of the people and a just peace.
