Milan, 23 November (LaPresse) – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has confirmed in a statement that the IDF attack in Beirut targeted Hezbollah's de facto chief of staff, Haytham Ali Tabatabai. This was reported by the Times of Israel. ‘A short while ago, the IDF struck Hezbollah's chief of staff, who was leading the organisation's military and armament efforts, in the heart of Beirut,’ the statement reads. ‘Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered the attack on the recommendation of the Defence Minister and the IDF Chief of Staff,’ the statement continues.
