Milan, 25 November (LaPresse) – Ukraine needs ‘a series of very solid security guarantees, not paper guarantees’, as previous promises have been ‘destroyed by successive Russian aggressions’. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron during a video conference meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing”. “Negotiations are gaining new momentum, and we should seize this momentum not because there is cause for alarm – Ukraine is strong, Russia is slow and Europe is unyielding – but because there is finally a chance to make real progress towards a lasting peace,” Macron added.
