Brussels, Dec. 9 (LaPresse) – "I would also like to address the ongoing investigation, which led to the resignation of two people. I reiterate our full cooperation and complete transparency. I have full confidence in the authorities, in respect of due process, and in the presumption of innocence. I also have absolute trust in the staff of the European External Action Service, who every day dedicate themselves to our Union and defend our interests worldwide." This was stated by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, during a hearing at the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), referring to the inquiry that affected the European External Action Service and the College of Europe and that led to the resignations of Federica Mogherini and Stefano Sannino.
