Surin (Thailand), Dec. 10 (LaPresse) – During a political event in Pennsylvania, US President Donald Trump stated that he would use his influence to end the new fighting between Thailand and Cambodia. “Tomorrow I’ll have to make a phone call,” Trump said, “who else could say: ‘I’ll make a phone call and stop a war between two very powerful countries, Thailand and Cambodia’?” Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio had urged both sides to honor the commitments made in Kuala Lumpur, requesting the removal of heavy weapons from the border, the coordination of landmine clearance, and other measures.
