Washington (USA), 12 December (LaPresse) – Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to end hostilities and respect the terms of the peace agreement brokered by Donald Trump. The US president himself announced this in a post on Truth, in which he reported having had “an excellent conversation” with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet “regarding the regrettable resumption of their long war”. Both leaders ‘agreed to cease all conflict starting tonight and return to the original peace agreement’ also signed with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Trump also states that ‘the roadside bomb that originally killed and wounded numerous Thai soldiers was an accident, but Thailand nevertheless responded with great firmness.’ Both countries, the US president assures, ‘are ready for peace and for the continuation of trade with the United States of America.’
