Milan, 24 Dec. (LaPresse/AP) – Russia will define its position on the US plan based on information received from Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev, who met with Donald Trump's envoys in Miami, Florida, over the weekend. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who refused to provide further details because Moscow considers it ‘highly inappropriate to communicate through the media’. ‘We will not talk about what Dmitriev brought exactly, and we will certainly not talk about it through the press,’ Peskov said, according to the Russian news agency Peskov, when asked to talk about the documents that the Russian negotiator brought with him after the Miami meetings. On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky outlined the points of the US plan to reporters, specifying the stage of the talks. According to Zelensky, whose comments were embargoed until today, the US and Ukraine have reached consensus on several critical issues, but sensitive issues relating to territorial control of Donbass and the management of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant remain unresolved.
