The Ukrainian and US teams have made significant progress in developing a framework for peace, security guarantees and the sequence of next steps.’ This was written on Telegram by Ukrainian chief negotiator Rustem Umerov. ‘It was agreed to continue consultations in the near future and to prepare the next stages of the dialogue, in particular the meetings at the leadership level in Washington in January,’ he explained. ‘Security guarantees remain a fundamental condition for achieving a lasting result. We are grateful to President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner for their constructive work and commitment,’ he concluded.
