Rome, 30 Dec. (LaPresse) – "Almost a day has passed and Russia has still not provided any plausible evidence for its accusations of an alleged “attack on Putin's residence” by Ukraine. And it won't. Because there isn't any. Such an attack never happened.‘ This was written in a message on X by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. ’We were disappointed and concerned to see statements from the United Arab Emirates, India and Pakistan expressing their concerns about an attack that never happened. It is even more surprising considering that all three states did not issue any official statements when a real Russian missile struck the real Ukrainian government building on 7 September 2025,‘ Sybiha wrote, pointing out that ’Russia has a long history of false claims: it is its signature tactic. For example, it claimed it would not attack Ukraine in early 2022. It also often accuses others of what it itself intends to do. Its words should never be taken at face value.‘ According to the Ukrainian minister, ’such reactions to Russia's unfounded manipulative claims only fuel Russian propaganda and encourage Moscow to commit further atrocities and lies." ‘We call on all states to act responsibly and refrain from responding to unverified statements, as this undermines the constructive peace process that has been advancing recently,’ Sybiha concluded.
