Rome, 4 January (LaPresse) – ‘It is of fundamental importance for Ukraine that the support of its partners continues: constant assistance with defence and the strengthening of our air defence.’ This was written on X by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. ‘Almost every day, lives in Ukraine are threatened by Russian attacks and raids with various types of weapons against our people,’ he added, explaining that ‘this week alone, Russia has launched more than 1,070 guided aerial bombs, nearly 1,000 attack drones and six missiles against Ukraine.’ ‘Everything that has been agreed with our partners must be accelerated as much as possible. Every missile for air defence systems currently in storage with partners can truly save lives,’ he said. "The stability and predictability of assistance to Ukraine is what can really push Moscow towards diplomacy. We are counting on continued defence assistance and support for the documents prepared on security guarantees by the United States, Europe and the partners of the Coalition of the Willing. I am grateful to all those around the world who, with their strength, support diplomacy and all efforts for a just peace," the Kiev leader concluded.
