Rome, 4 January (LaPresse) – The Chinese Foreign Ministry has expressed ‘serious concern over the forced detention of President Maduro and his wife by the United States and their deportation,’ adding that the US actions ‘clearly violate international law and the basic norms governing international relations, as well as the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter.’ Beijing, Xinhua reports, has asked Washington to ‘immediately release’ the Venezuelan president and his wife.
