Turin, Jan. 5 (LaPresse) – A US military attack on Greenland would effectively mark the end of NATO, according to Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. “If the US chooses to attack another NATO country, then it's all over,” Frederiksen said in an interview with Danish public broadcaster DR. “Including NATO and therefore the security that has been built since the end of World War II,” she added. Frederiksen said Trump should be taken seriously when he says he wants to control Greenland, calling his recent statements “unacceptable pressure” and “an unreasonable attack on the international community.” The prime minister rejected the US president's argument that US national security requires control of Greenland, arguing that no country can make territorial claims on another part of Denmark.
