Turin, Jan. 5. (LaPresse) – Delcy Rodríguez has been formally sworn in as interim president of Venezuela. The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by her brother, National Assembly President Jorge Rodríguez. Delcy Rodríguez thus formalized the appointment conferred on her by the Supreme Court after the US military intervention that removed incumbent President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores.
