Mexico City, Jan. 6 (LaPresse) – Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has called for a “fair trial” in the United States for the ousted Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Responding to reporters, Sheinbaum described Maduro’s move to plead not guilty before the New York court as “interesting.”
“Now that President Maduro has been arrested, what we are asking for is a fair trial, as always,” Sheinbaum said, while once again condemning the U.S. intervention in Venezuela.
