Washington (USA), Jan. 20 (LaPresse) – President Trump does not plan to travel to Paris this week for an emergency G7 summit proposed by Emmanuel Macron. A White House official told CNN. Macron had made the proposal in a text message sent to Trump, which the U.S. president later shared on social media. "I can organize a G7 meeting after Davos in Paris on Thursday afternoon. I can invite the Ukrainians, the Danes, the Syrians, and the Russians on the sidelines of the meeting," Macron wrote in the message, also offering to organize a dinner before Trump returns to Washington. France currently holds the rotating presidency of the G7. A leaders’ summit is scheduled for June in Évian-les-Bains.
