Milan, 12 February (LaPresse) – The decision to block WhatsApp in Russia was taken due to non-compliance with Russian laws. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, according to reports by Russian news agency Tass. ‘With regard to the blocking of WhatsApp, there has indeed been a statement by our competent authorities that, due to Meta Corporation's unwillingness to comply with Russian regulations and law, this decision has been taken and implemented,’ he said.
