Frankfurt (Germany), 24 February (LaPresse) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz spoke on the phone with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. According to a statement from the German Chancellery, Merz congratulated Takaichi on her confirmation in office and emphasised the importance of close and friendly relations between Germany and Japan. Both agreed to further deepen this aspect and to continue their close cooperation within the G7 and G20.
