Milan, 5 March (LaPresse) – The UK government is sending four more Typhoon fighter jets to Qatar. Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced this at a press conference. Starmer explained that this is part of the government's response to requests for “further help” from allies in the Gulf. This deployment is intended to “strengthen our defensive operations in Qatar and across the region”, he added. In January, the British government deployed the RAF's 12th Squadron to Qatar “at the invitation of the Qatari government”.
