Rome, 6 March (LaPresse/AP) – The British ambassador to Bahrain has stated that the United Kingdom will contribute to the “defence” of the country, which has been the target of attacks by Iran, with Royal Air Force fighter jets. “I am pleased to announce that the United Kingdom will send RAF jets to fly over Bahrain as a contribution to the defence of this country, one of our closest allies around the world,” Ambassador Alastair Long said in an Instagram post, “it is extremely important for the United Kingdom to participate in the defence of Bahrain and ensure that it prevails in this terrible attack launched by Iran”.
