Madrid, Mar 7 (LaPresse) – Spain has evacuated the staff of its embassy in Iran. This was announced by the Spanish Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares. “The ambassador and the essential staff who had remained in Tehran have just crossed the border into Azerbaijan and are safe,” Albares wrote. The other Spanish embassies in the region continue to operate and respond to emergency calls, he added. “The safety of our citizens and of the Spanish diplomatic service is my priority,” he wrote further.
