Milan, 8 March (LaPresse) – ‘The enemy has naively interpreted my words and statements, and its goal is to bring us and our neighbouring countries to war. We will not allow even an inch of our country's territory to be conquered.’ This was stated by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, as reported by the Mehr news agency. Pezeshkian stressed that ‘if a country attacks and invades our territory, we are obliged to respond to such an attack, and this response does not mean that we have a quarrel or dispute with that country, or that we wish to upset its people; we are simply compelled to respond.’
