Milan, 9 March (LaPresse) – Russia is ready to supply oil and gas to Europe, but is waiting for signals from the EU that it is willing to abandon political considerations in this area. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting on the global oil and gas market. ‘If European companies and buyers suddenly decide to reorient themselves and offer us sustainable, long-term cooperation, free from political pressure, go ahead,’ Putin said, as reported by the Tass news agency, ‘we have never refused and are ready to cooperate with Europeans.’ ‘But we need signals from them that they are ready and willing to work and that they will ensure sustainability and stability,’ the Russian president added.
