Rome, 14 March (LaPresse/AP) – The Iranian military command has threatened to attack certain cities in the United Arab Emirates, claiming that they are being used by US forces to launch attacks against the Iranian islands of Abu Musa and Kharg. According to Iranian state television, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command claimed, without providing evidence, that US forces had launched attacks against the Islamic Republic from ‘ports, docks and hideouts within’ cities in the UAE. The statement urged the public to evacuate “ports, docks and locations where US forces are stationed in cities across the United Arab Emirates”.
