Rome, 14 March (LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump was ‘aware’ of the risk that Iran might block the Strait of Hormuz, but despite this warning from military leaders, starting with General Dan Caine, the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, he decided to go ahead with military action against Iran anyway. This is the account given by the Wall Street Journal. According to the newspaper, the tycoon was convinced that Tehran would surrender ‘before’ taking such a step.
