This was reported by The Washington Post, citing three people familiar with the matter, who said authorities have not yet determined the origin of the drones. According to a senior administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive security issues, the armed forces are monitoring potential threats more closely due to the heightened alert following U.S. and Israeli actions against Iran. The official stated that in the past 10 days, several drones have been spotted over Fort Lesley J. McNair in a single night, prompting increased security measures and a White House meeting to discuss possible responses.
