Turin, 24 March (LaPresse) – Iran has received a message from the United States via mediators as a possible prelude to talks between the two countries currently at war. A senior official from the Iranian Foreign Ministry told CBS News this, after President Donald Trump indicated that an agreement was possible. “We have received points from the United States via mediators and are examining them,” the official said. Iran and the United States are communicating indirectly, with other countries in the region acting as mediators. According to CBS, Pakistan has sought to offer itself as a possible mediator. Oman has also frequently played this role between Tehran and Washington, most recently facilitating several rounds of nuclear talks at the start of the year.
