Frankfurt (Germany), 12 Apr. (LaPresse) – The refusal of European countries to buy oil and gas from Russia demonstrates the short-sightedness of their current leadership, but this short-sightedness is not universal. This was stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, as reported by TASS. ‘This simply demonstrates the short-sightedness of the current leadership of European countries,’ Peskov emphasised. The Kremlin spokesperson clarified that not all European leaders are so short-sighted: some politicians understand the need to focus on their own interests and do not rule out cooperation with Russia. ‘Why deprive ourselves of the opportunity to have such a partner in commercial and economic affairs? This is an entirely pragmatic approach, which, moreover, coincides with our own,’ he concluded.
