(LaPresse) – ‘It is very difficult to find other parties better placed than China to resolve this situation in Iran and the Strait of Hormuz, so I believe China can play an important role in finding a diplomatic solution to end the war, thereby contributing to stability and peace.’ This was stated by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez at a press conference in Beijing, following his meeting with President Xi Jinping. “We do not support this war, but businesses, families, Spain, the EU and the world are already feeling its consequences, and therefore any effort that all nations can make – particularly those that have a dialogue with Iran and have not actively participated in this illegal war – is welcome and necessary,” added the socialist leader.
