Frankfurt (Germany), 25 April (LaPresse) – “We are all in the same boat, and it is not a boat we have chosen.” This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron regarding the situation in the Strait of Hormuz. Macron reiterated his desire to see the Strait of Hormuz reopened to oil traffic “in the coming days and weeks”. Speaking at a press conference in Athens alongside Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the French president stated that the panic caused by geopolitical uncertainty can in itself lead to shortages. ‘We are all in the same boat, and it is not a boat we have chosen, if I may say so. We are victims of geopolitics and we are victims of this war that began several months ago.’
