Milan, May 4 (LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump said that his representatives "are having very positive talks" with Iran. The Iranian Foreign Ministry – CNN reports – said that Tehran is reviewing the US response to its latest peace proposal. Meanwhile, US forces will begin today to guide ships through the Strait of Hormuz, in an operation that, according to a US official, is not an escort mission. President Trump announced the operation on Sunday, stating that "countries all over the world, almost all not involved in the Middle East dispute", have asked the United States to free the ships "stuck" in the strategic strait. US Central Command said it "will support merchant vessels seeking to transit freely through the essential international trade corridor". Senior Iranian official Ebrahim Azizi warned that any US interference in the strait would be considered a violation of the ceasefire.
