Milan, 23 May (LaPresse) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that Ukrainian security services have struck a Russian chemical plant in the Perm region of Moscow, deep inside Russian territory. "I am grateful to the Ukrainian security services for striking one of the main enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex. The distance from our border is 1,700 kilometres: this is the Perm region. Metafrax Chemicals is an important part of the Russian chemical industry. The company’s products supply dozens of other Russian military production facilities, including aircraft and drones, rocket engines and explosives,” Zelensky wrote in a post on X. “Production at the plant has now been halted. This is a significant long-range sanction on our part,” he concluded.
