Rome, April 29 (LaPresse) – "Tensions in strategic energy areas are creating instability in the markets. Fifty percent of the jet fuel destined for Italian airports passes through Hormuz, while the remaining half is supplied by other countries, including Libya and Egypt. We clarify that the reserves available in Italy guarantee operational capacity at least until the end of May. Our situation is more solid than that of most European states. We are not facing an emergency that puts flight safety or the continuity of the system at risk. Our country holds up, because there is daily coordinated work between the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, ENAC, airport operators and the entire supply chain." Thus said Infrastructure Minister Matteo Salvini in response during Question Time in the Chamber of Deputies. "We do not hide the concern, but we are managing it," he added.
