Florence, 5 May (LaPresse) – In Tuscany, the regional civil protection operations centre has extended the orange alert for hydrogeological risk throughout tomorrow, limited to the areas affected by the recent forest fires on Monte Faeta, because, given the current fragility of the terrain, the risk of landslides is higher. This was announced on social media by the President of Tuscany, Eugenio Giani, who also stated that the yellow alert for severe thunderstorms has been extended until tomorrow for the rest of the region. Unstable conditions are still expected, with possible thunderstorms, some of which may be severe, most likely in the central and northern areas. These phenomena, the exact location of which remains rather uncertain, may become stationary in some areas or may recur in the same areas.
