Rome, 20 May (LaPresse) – Muriel Oddenino, Giorgia Sommacal, Monica Montefalcone, Federico Gualtieri and Gianluca Benedetti, the five Italians who died in the tragic accident in the Maldives, ‘as far as I am aware, did not hold a “full cave” licence, that is, the one required to explore caves’. So said Orietta Stella, the lawyer for tour operator Albatros Top Boat, to LaPresse. ‘The only certification I found on the professor’s CV is a “full cave 1”, which refers to cavern diving, not cave diving.’
