Milan, 25 May (LaPresse) – A road accident occurred in the Mantua area this morning at around 5.30 am in Roncoferraro, in the hamlet of Villa Garibaldi, where two young men, aged 24 and 26, of Indian origin, were hit whilst cycling by a 68-year-old man from Castel d’Ario, who was driving a van that subsequently overturned into a ditch. In addition to the 118 emergency services, the fire brigade and the Carabinieri from the Sustinente and Roncoferraro stations were at the scene to carry out the necessary investigations. The van driver was taken to Mantua Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, whilst the two cyclists were pronounced dead. The victims are a 24-year-old resident of Castel d’Ario and a 26-year-old resident of Salizzore, in the Verona area. Investigations are underway to establish the exact identities of the two men, who were found without any documents but in possession only of their employment contracts. They were both working at the Villagaribaldi farm, the site of the accident.
