Rome, 4 June (LaPresse) – Yet another arrest for Fabiola Moretti, a 70-year-old Roman woman formerly linked to the Banda della Magliana and the long-time partner of Antonio Mancini, one of the organisation’s bosses. The Court of Rome this morning confirmed the detention of the woman, who was already under house arrest, on charges of possession and dealing in narcotic substances. The operation was carried out by the Carabinieri from the Divino Amore station during an operation aimed at combating drug trafficking. Upon raiding her home, investigators observed her handing over doses of crack. During the house search, the Carabinieri seized approximately €1,500 in cash and materials used for packaging the doses. The single-judge court of the Second Criminal Section of the Rome Court has ordered that Moretti remain under house arrest as a precautionary measure.
