Milan, 30 April (LaPresse) – Flavio Cobolli has been knocked out in the quarter-finals of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Madrid, on the clay courts of the Caja Mágica. The Roman tennis player, ranked 13th in the world, was defeated by Germany’s Alexander Zverev, ranked 3rd in the ATP and the tournament’s third seed, who won in two sets with a score of 6-1, 6-4 in 1 hour and 30 minutes. In the semi-finals, Zverev will face Belgian Alexander Blockx, who pulled off a surprise victory over defending champion Casper Ruud of Norway (12).
