Bergamo, May 30 (LaPresse) – Cristiano Giuntoli is Atalanta's new Sporting Director. The Bergamo club announced the appointment in a statement. Born in Florence, he began his career as a football executive at the age of 36, 18 years ago. After an initial experience at Spezia, as Sporting Director he was one of the key architects of Carpi's extraordinary rise, with the club achieving four promotions in five years, moving from Serie D to its first-ever participation in the Serie A championship. After six successful seasons in Emilia and a winning cycle that quickly established him among the best executives in Italian football, he moved to Napoli in 2015, where he experienced another significant and successful chapter of his career, winning a Coppa Italia (2019/20 season) and Napoli's historic third Serie A title (2022/23 season), achievements that confirmed and crowned the excellent work carried out in Campania. He concluded his productive experience at Napoli as Italian champion before taking on the role of Managing Director Football at Juventus in the summer of 2023, winning the Coppa Italia during the first of his two seasons in Turin.
