Moscow, Sept. 4 (LaPresse) – Russia will not discuss in any way the idea of foreign military intervention in Ukraine. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a briefing at the Eastern Economic Forum, according to Tass. "Russia," she said, "does not intend to discuss foreign intervention in Ukraine, which is completely unacceptable and undermines security in any form and format." She also added that the security guarantees requested by Ukraine are guarantees of threat to the European continent and are absolutely unacceptable. "They aim to preserve Ukraine as a stronghold of terror, for provocations against our country. They are not security guarantees for Ukraine; they are guarantees of threat for the European continent," she stressed. Regarding the US approval of the possible sale of over 3,000 Eram missiles and equipment, Zakharova said this contradicts the declared aspiration to resolve the conflict diplomatically.
