Rome, 20 Apr. (LaPresse) – Data from maritime analytics firm Kpler show that more than 20 ships crossed the Strait of Hormuz on 18 April, marking the highest number of ships to have sailed through the waters since the war against Iran began on 1 March. Of the ships that successfully transited on Saturday, five had recently loaded Iranian cargo consisting of metals and various petroleum products. According to the data, this group included three LNG carriers (for the transport of liquefied natural gas), two of which were bound for China and India. Among the other ships that departed were those carrying goods from Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
