Washington (USA), Apr 21 (LaPresse) – Vice President JD Vance has for the moment suspended plans to travel to Pakistan today for the second round of negotiations with Iran. This was reported by the Wall Street Journal, following earlier reporting by the New York Times, according to several sources, after a series of intensive meetings within the White House. Although Vance could still depart later in the week – possibly as soon as tonight – President Trump is privately considering cancelling the trip altogether, a WSJ source said, citing Tehran’s reluctance to accept US demands regarding uranium enrichment. Another source said the decision was taken because Iran has not agreed to commit to the Islamabad meeting.
