Rome, 27 April (LaPresse) – Russia will do everything possible to bring about peace in the Middle East as quickly as possible. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Interfax reports. “For our part, we will do everything necessary to serve your interests, and the interests of all the peoples of the region, to ensure that this peace is achieved as quickly as possible. You are well aware of our position,” Putin said during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, which is taking place at the Presidential Library in St Petersburg. Attending the meeting on the Russian side are Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov and the Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Igor Kostyukov. In addition to Araghchi, the Iranian delegation includes Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharib-Abadi and Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali.
